Why Baking?

So ever since I was small I loved baking. I have thought of it, to make a career out of it but could never get myself to do it. Why Nanies Cookie Jar?

So last year November I got diagnosed with BioPolar Depression. It was hard hearing those words. I thought about why this and why now. It was super hard to adapt and even now I can still not believe I have BPD. So after that, I started looking for things to keep me busy, to keep my mind off this mental illness thing I have.

So little by little I got used to the idea of having BPD it's not easy but I am managing. And that is when I thought baking is something I love and that keeps me busy in those times. All I needed was a name. Soon enough the name Nanies got stuck in my mind and that is how Nanies Cookie Jar started.

It's been almost a year since I got diagnosed and can't believe how well Nanies Cookie Jar is doing. I am not a professional but I am good at what I do. And to be able to share this with everyone is amazing. It was a small idea that became something good.

Don't give up when you hear bad news. Stand up, put your big girl panties on and go do what you love!
